Indie Fashion is a national creative platform helping independent creatives turn their craft into a career through hands-on education, real community, live experiences, and the tools to build businesses that last.
What began as an independent fashion show has grown into a broader ecosystem connecting fashion, education, entrepreneurship, production, media, and community.
Through our national fashion experiences, youth education programs, creative partnerships, and the development of Indie Studio, we are creating pathways for designers, models, photographers, stylists, students, entrepreneurs, and other creatives to learn, create, connect, and grow.
Our belief is simple:

The Indie Fashion Show remains at the heart of our platform.
Through runway productions, designer showcases, fashion-week experiences, festivals, pop-ups, casting opportunities, and creative events, Indie Fashion provides independent designers and models with a professional platform to showcase their work in front of new audiences.
Our experiences have expanded into cities across the country and onto major fashion stages, including New York Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Week, while continuing to build our flagship presence in Detroit.
We create opportunities for independent brands to do more than walk a runway.
They can build visibility, create content, connect with customers, expand their networks, and grow their businesses.

Indie Fashion believes the future of the creative industry begins with access.
Our Fashion Design and Creative After-School Programs bring hands-on fashion education directly to schools, youth organizations, and community partners.

Indie Fashion has worked with schools and organizations throughout Metro Detroit, including programs connected with Cass Technical High School, Mumford High School, Mt. Clemens High School, and Boys & Girls Club programs.

The next chapter of Indie Fashion is Indie Studio, our upcoming creative community hub in Detroit.
Currently in development, Indie Studio is being designed as a place where creativity, education, production, and entrepreneurship can exist under one roof.
