Indie Fashion Kids Sewing Program

Indie Fashion is dedicated to investing in our future fashion leaders. We have partnered with Needle artists and Crafters to launch our Kids Sewing Program.

Class is designed for children and adults who have had no or very little sewing machine experience. Students will be taught the three foundational hand stitches that are frequently used in sewing projects. Using those hand stitches students will be taught how to make a pin cushion and a needle book. They will also be taught how to use an electric powered sewing machine to make a tote bag, and a simple vest.

Meet your instructor:

Andrea Fields

Andrea has extensive experience as a sewing instructor. She was also a sewing machine sales person that facilitated classes for new machine owners. She has taught sewing and a variety of needle crafting classes at several Metro Detroit area facilities as well as in her home and through Creative Circle (A company that manufactured Needle Craft kits and provided NeedleArt instructions via home party's). Andrea is proficient in several NeedleArt disciplines and is looking forward to teaching as many people, who want to learn, as she can.
